Photography is the job, but art is the goal. I’m Andrew, and I’m just focused on capturing things exactly as they are—only better.

A Clearer View
I see photography as that classic cliché: a moment frozen in time. To me, that is the fundamental root of the craft. It’s the "not-so-staged" environment—holding time in a bubble of hot lights and contortionist posture—where flashes freeze the creation of confident synergies. It’s the feeling of freedom flowing through the wind; a golden hour liberation of the soul.It is the terrifying goal to achieve art in expectational understanding. Trusting the director and the art brings the final product to life. It is a frozen flash of your life—the greatest gift.“We are all windows to each others world”

The Journey
The NameWhy Radar? It started over twenty years ago at a stamping press factory. Wearing my prescribed safety glasses, I earned the nickname "Radar" from the show MASH. It stuck. More than just a name, it represented a positive environment where I felt part of a team—a group of workers grinding out the days together. That sense of connection is still at the core of what I do.The SparkMy entry into photography was a total "snowball" moment. I joked about shooting a wedding for my brother-in-law, borrowed a Canon Rebel T3, and was immediately blown away by what a DSLR could capture. I dove in head-first—no lessons, no research, just figuring it out as I went. I fell in love with the "why" of a photo. While video tells you how to feel, a photo is a moment that makes the viewer lean in and analyze their own emotions. It allows the mind to wander and wonder. The ReturnAfter running Radar Photography for close to 9 years and later collaborating with my cousins wife and great friend Angela at Cosmo Studio, I stepped away to navigate personal struggles and life changes. But recently, that spark returned through the greatest inspiration of all: becoming a father.I am a proud husband and a father to three beautiful girls. I want to show my daughters that you can pursue anything that feels right in your heart and soul. Finding that "magnetic connection" with my wife opened up a new level of beauty in the world for me, and I want to reflect that in my work. The MissionI want to capture the grand moments, but also the small ones—like the way a hand holds a morning cup of coffee. It’s all part of a story, and the story is the soul of the photo. If I don’t know your story, I can’t capture the true intention of the frame.I want to learn your story and capture it. Let’s set our own stage and perform.

Scribblers is where the studio lights turn off and the ink comes out. These are rapid-fire, high-energy sketches that skip the professional polish to find the actual soul of your pet.
